Die fernere Lebenserwartung von Rentnern und Pensionären im Vergleich

Abstract

Für Deutschland liegen bislang nur wenige Untersuchungen über soziale Unterschiede in der ferneren Lebenserwartung vor. Dieser Beitrag analysiert, erstmals vergleichend, die Lebenserwartung männlicher Rentner und Pensionäre im Alter ab 65 Jahren in Deutschland. Die Kernfrage der Analyse lautet: Gibt es zwischen verschiedenen Einkommens- und Laufbahngruppen Unterschiede bei der ferneren Lebenserwartung? Auf der Basis von Daten des Forschungsdatenzentrums der Rentenversicherung (FDZ-RV) und des Statistischen Bundesamtes werden die fernere Lebenserwartung von Rentnern und Pensionären in Abhängigkeit ihrer Entgeltpunkte bzw. Laufbahngruppen dargestellt und im Zeitverlauf miteinander verglichen. Die Ergebnisse weisen darauf hin, dass höhere Lebensarbeitseinkommen mit einer Erhöhung der ferneren Lebenserwartung einhergehen; zudem leben Pensionäre im Durchschnitt zwei Jahre länger als Rentner. Die Autoren interpretieren diese Befunde als Anlass für sozialpolitische Eingriffe, um sozioökonomische Ungleichheiten zu begrenzen, die auf die differenzielle Lebenserwartung wirken.
