Abstract

Cristina Scarlat, the author of this book (Mircea Eliade, Hermeneutica spectacolului, II) is an instructor and post-graduate scholar in the Doctoral School of Philological Studies, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University, Iasi, currently preparing a thesis on the transposition of Eliade’s works into different literary and artistic forms. In 2008 she published her first book on this subject, Mircea Eliade. Hermeneutica spectacolului, I, Convorbiri (Iai, Editura Timpul), which consisted mainly of interviews she had taken (orally or through correspondence) with persons who had known Eliade or had written about him.
