Abstract

The quality of the social services is a subject which is encountered more and more often in the past decades. Taking over the concept of quality from the area of production of goods and services into the area of social services, it was identified the need to clarify and establish a meaning which is overall applicable for all the parties involved in providing of social services: customers, specialists and organizations, especially because they can have different perceptions about quality. Besides that, the reality in Romania cannot be disconnected from the activity of the specialists in the social services worldwide; there are such specialists who approached the subject of quality before the issuing of the legislation for the general standards of quality. The models for approaching quality by the specialists can vary widely but after a deeper analysis there can be found similar features with the „romanian model”; I’m reffering to the general standards of quality approved by the Order no. 383 from June 6, 2005. The models to approach quality presented in the article have the aim to deliver types of approaching quality in the social services which will help the providers of social services to improve continuously their performance.
