Dünyada önde gelen iktisat doktora programlarında temel makro iktisat eğitimi

Abstract

Bu makalede, makro iktisat eğitimi alanında önde gelen 16 okuldaki ilk yıl makro iktisat dersleri ışığında makro iktisat araştırmalarının mevcut durumu incelenmiştir. Bu inceleme sonucunda, makro iktisatta 1980’lerde egemen olan metodolojik ve ideolojik farklılıkların ortadan kalkmakta olduğu, makro iktisat ile mikro iktisat metodolojisinin birbirine yaklaşmakta olduğu ve matematiğin makro iktisat alanındaki kullanımının giderek arttığı olduğu ortaya konulmuştur. Ayrıca, makro iktisat eğitiminde teorik matematiğe nazaran uygulamalı matematiğin önem kazanmakta olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu okullardaki ilk yıl makro iktisat derslerinin temel teknik ve metotları vermek üzere tasarlanmış olduğu; aksaklıkları temel alan modeller, para ve maliye politikaları ve bunların refah analizleri, kurumların ekonomideki rolü gibi son dönem makro iktisat çalışmalarında ön plana çıkan konuların sonraki yıl derslerine bırakıldığı görülmüştür
