Preliminary Results Of The Public Consultation On The Future Of The Common Agricultural Policy

Abstract

In order to maintain the initial objectives of ensuring the efficient and sustainable development of the Common Agricultural Policy, the European Commission launched a public consultation in early February 2017. The preliminary results of this are presented in our article, which is based on the official sources of European public institutions.In the current economic and political context of the European Union, this public consultation has emerged as an opportunity, for the modernization and simplification of the CAP, as a result of the following market conditions: improvement of the Community food chain, but also in context of the negotiations between the EU and the United Kingdom of the Brexit impact on the community agricultural sector.The analysis also includes a brief overview of the impact that public consultation will have on the future of the Common Agricultural Policy, as well as the criteria for evaluating statistical data.
