Investigation on Dielectric Constant of Zinc Oxide

Abstract

The studies of the behavior of zinc oxide and its dielectric constant at different temperature ranging from 700 0C (975K) up to 1000 0C (1275K) have been done, as well as the fabrication of pellet. The pellets were sintered at 700 0C, 800 0C, 900 0C and 1000 0C, in a Nabertherm Controller Furnace and the heating rate is 6 0C/min. The capacitance and dissipation factor (tan δ) were taken and calculated the relative permittivity, ε r and dielectric loss, ε i which are indicated the behavior and dielectric constant of zinc oxide that depend on different temperatures of sintered pellet and frequency of the applied LCR meter .
