Abstract

The sustainability of organizations of this century will be based fundamentally on their knowledge, and the way that they use what they know and their capacity to learn new things. The objective of this research was to determine the perception from the professors from the academic groups of social sciences on the main elements that must exist for the management of the knowledge in their investigation work groups. The design of the investigation is descriptive, non-experimental, transectional in where a survey was applied to the professors of the academic groups of three different divisions. The results indicate that one of the main limitations is the capacity of management from these groups. Therefore, it is concluded that it is necessary to have more support from the part of the institution authorities, in order to generate a documentary heritage that would allow the management and the diffusion of academic products that are an essential aspect for a suitable management and transference of knowledge.
