Abstract

Locating talent has become a poaching approach for individuals with experience, expertise and common sense to cover key positions in organizations. After identifying them, poaching firms offer them higher salaries and better benefits. This phenomenon before, unethical, is now accepted by organizations. But when it happens, organizations feel betrayed. The organization experiences two sensations. Emotionally, the manager is not able to obtain the loyalty of an employee. The cost, talent is difficult to detect and locate and is expensive to replace. This research presents strategies to influence or prevent poaching. Many companies have turned to traditional staff retention programs (design curves career long term, significant investments in training and development, pay more). But competition is intense. Having strategies that allow you to reduce staff turnover and retain more valuable human capital is critical to the health of any organization. As a result, this research will be useful not only for small and medium businesses but overall for all businesses.
