Lavorare nella filiera del turismo tra precariet? occupazionale e riconfigurazione dell?economia urbana: il caso della citt? di Matera

Abstract

Dall?inizio degli anni 2000, la citt? di Matera ha registrato una crescita esponenziale del turismo, dovuta principalmente alle produzioni cinematografiche e successivamente alla proclamazione a Capitale europea della cultura per il 2019. Le conseguenze per la citt?, che ha visto contemporaneamente il ridimensionamento del distretto industriale del mobile imbottito, sono state un?intensa crescita di tutte le attivit? legate al turismo, in particolare la ricettivit? e la ristorazione. Ci? ha portato all?aumento dell?occupazione, spesso temporanea, ma anche a maggiori opportunit? per i segmenti pi? vulnerabili del mercato del lavoro. La frammentazione del settore terziario e la mobilit? occupazionale rendono, tuttavia, questa forza lavoro, in un contesto di basse retribuzioni, pi? debole in termini di tutele, soprattutto quando l?occupazione coinvolge donne provenienti da contesti familiari precari, lavoratori stranieri, adulti disoccupati e individui con bassi livelli di istruzione.
