Igualdad de género y productividad: una relación compleja

Abstract

La relación entre diversidad y desempeño organizacional es objeto de debate. Aunque se argumenta que la inclusión de mujeres y minorías mejora la toma de decisiones y el rendimiento financiero, la evidencia empírica es ambigua. Meta-análisis indican que las correlaciones globales son nulas o pequeñas y dependen del contexto, lo que genera una brecha entre la investigación y el discurso público, a menudo basado en afirmaciones simplistas. No obstante, desde la perspectiva del “Female Advantage”, se reconoce que las mujeres suelen mostrar estilos de liderazgo más colaborativos, beneficiosos en entornos socialmente complejos. Más allá del desempeño, la diversidad tiene un valor intrínseco como principio de justicia y representación. Este trabajo examina estas complejidades para identificar las condiciones que favorecen una integración diversa y efectiva.
