Transmisión intergeneracional de los hábitos de lectura

Abstract

El estudio analiza los hábitos de lectura por ocio en España, centrándose en su transmisión intergeneracional. A partir de la Encuesta de Hábitos y Prácticas Culturales 2021-2022, se manifiesta que la exposición temprana a la lectura, tanto por el hábito lector de los padres como por la propia práctica en la infancia, influye en la actitud lectora en la adultez. Las personas que han tenido contacto con la lectura desde la infancia tienden a mantener y fomentar este hábito en sus hijos, resaltando el papel clave de la familia en la formación de hábitos culturales sostenibles. Además, factores como género, edad y nivel educativo influyen en los hábitos de lectura y su transmisión. El estudio sugiere que las estrategias de fomento de la lectura deberían centrarse no solo en los niños, sino también en las familias, promoviendo la lectura en el hogar desde edades tempranas para generar efectos a largo plazo en la sociedad.
