Cambio poblacional y demografía laboral en el País Vasco: El foco en las personas adultas mayores

Abstract

Este artículo examina la influencia del cambio poblacional y el aumento de la edad media social en la demografía laboral vasca, enfocándose en la cohorte de “adultos mayores». A medida que aumenta la esperanza de vida y disminuye la natalidad a nivel global, el paisaje demográfico y laboral se transforma, presentando retos para las políticas públicas y las prácticas empresariales. Este análisis destaca la necesidad de repensar las estrategias de gestión de la edad en el trabajo y las prácticas de transmisión empresarial para adaptarse al cambio demográfico. Enfatizando la influencia de los adultos mayores en los patrones de consumo y producción sectoriales, el documento aboga por enfoques innovadores y no alarmistas. Todo ello para fortalecer la competitividad empresarial, la cohesión social y el pacto intergeneracional.
