La evaluación económica en el análisis de las políticas públicas: el estado del arte en España

Abstract

Este trabajo aborda el alcance de la evaluación desde el punto de vista económico de las políticas públicas en España y su trascendencia para la toma de decisiones, la mejora en la asignación de los recursos y el bienestar ciudadano. Se analiza el alcance de la institucionalización de la evaluación en los principales niveles de decisión: estatal y autonómico, la contribución a la cultura de la evaluación a través de la formación académica y se efectúa una revisión de los avances en evaluación en las principales políticas públicas. Todo ello con el objetivo de poner en valor esta actividad imprescindible para el buen funcionamiento de la gestión pública y la rendición de cuentas ante los ciudadanos.
