La Agenda 21 Local en España

Abstract

The present article analyses the concept of the sustainable development and its application at the local level by means the 21 Local agenda (A21L). In order to achieve it, there has been a study of the developed processes of the A21L in the different autonomous communities of the State, such a way to understand the different regional styles at the moment of dealing with the local sustainable development. The article gives a balance of the results of the investigation hold by means a comparative analysis, and points out to the principle characteristics proper to the development of the A21L programs in Spain. The investigation asserts the hypothesis that in spite of the fact that in the implantation of the A21L, there was a great effort, there is a lot left to realize.
