Innovative management of educational activity of higher educational institutions

Abstract

The transition from the industrial to the information society, the so-called “knowledge society”, provokes the formation of a new type of knowledge-based economy, where the processes of creating and distributing knowledge become key. In our time, knowledge is already the capital and the main resource of the state. A change in social orientations provokes a focus on each individual as the main social value. The choice of innovative type of development, creation and implementation of scientific technologies, the ever-growing role of information and knowledge in the socio-economic development of the state lead to an increase in demand for highly qualified specialists. In addition, the formation of an innovative model of the development of society expands the range of functional features of the higher education system in the direction of combining the function of transferring accumulated public experience, knowledge and skills with the assistance in developing new scientific ideas, technical solutions and technological processes and training new-level specialists who have developed and professional abilities. The higher school is called upon to become a center for the formation of an innovative environment that will ensure the orientation of vocational training towards the formation of future specialists' readiness for innovative activity. Considering the above, the article analyzes the legal field in which the education system of our state functions, identifies classically management models that can be implemented in the process of solving pressing management problems of modernity, as well as international experience related to the issue of research on the innovation component of education management. The importance of the application of the principle of innovation to improve the professional competence of the head of the university is emphasized. The article deals with the problem of formation and improvement of professional competence of managerial personnel through the modeling of their activities. It is proposed to consider the activities of a higher educational institution as a single target program. The main directions of innovation management, the goals of the internal subsystems of the activities of higher educational institutions are identified, their structural components and functions of the management of educational activities are disclosed
