Existence and possible causes of some large-scale changes in temperature patterns

Abstract

In a recent publication, physical processes were established by which the tiny variable components in the earthward extraterrestrial solar energy are mapped into (terrestrial) heat/temperature patterns in significantly amplified forms. Here we report some (apparently unexplained) large-scale changes in (terrestrial) temperature patterns which are correlated with variations in the sharpness of the peaks of the 11-year sunspot cycle. A plausible account is given showing how the latter variations give rise to the large-scale (terrestrial) temperature changes mentioned above. Additional solar-activity influence on terrestrial heat/temperature variations is also given and briefly discussed.
