The thermodynamic discontinuities ΔS, ΔH, ΔV, and the melting line of molecular systems at high pressure

Abstract

For the study of matter at high pressure, the determination of the change of the thermodynamic properties along the phase lines is very important since these properties relate the behaviour of the coexisting phases. For example, the best consistency test of models for the liquid and solid state can be obtained by comparing the theoretical results with the experimental data of the transition properties.
