Abstract

In the previous articles, 22–25 we attempted to study the qualitative relationship between the amount of energy consumed and the standard of living. In the present article, we are focusing our attention on the quantitative aspects of energy used to perform various economic activities. This study deals essentially with energy analysis aimed at obtaining a better knowledge of energy consumed to build or use given goods. For the present, the results gathered remain purely descriptive. Energy analysis would be worth doing if it were systematically pursued and integrated in global scenarios.
