Abstract

This empirical paper determines the conditions for the effective implementation of instructional leadership in township secondary schools in the Western Cape. Critical Emancipatory Research (CER) frames the study, using a transformative paradigm and participatory action research design. Findings indicate that effective communication, clear goals, and collaboration among stakeholders are key to effective instructional leadership implementation.
