Ampel-Monitor zeigt: Energiewende muss deutlich beschleunigt werden

Abstract

Die Ampelkoalition steht vor der Herausforderung, ihre energiepolitischen Ziele zu erreichen. Will sie dabei nicht scheitern, muss sie das Tempo der Energiewende deutlich steigern. Anlässlich der aktuellen energiepolitischen Debatte wurde am DIW Berlin der sogenannte Ampel-Monitor Energiewende entwickelt. Basierend auf offenen Daten vergleicht der Ampel-Monitor anhand von derzeit 15 Indikatoren die Regierungsziele bis zum Jahr 2030 und darüber hinaus mit den bisherigen Entwicklungen und Fortschritten. Bei fast allen Indikatoren klafft eine große Lücke zwischen den aktuellen Trends und den Regierungszielen. Dies gilt ganz besonders in den Bereichen der erneuerbaren Wärme, der Elektromobilität und des grünen Wasserstoffs. Darüber hinaus blieb das Ausbautempo bei der Windkraft an Land und auf See zuletzt sehr deutlich hinter dem zurück, was zum Erreichen der 2030-Ziele notwendig ist. Um die Ziele der Ampelkoalition zu erreichen, müssen zeitnah konkrete und weitreichende politische Maßnahmen umgesetzt werden. Deren Erfolge können künftig mithilfe des Ampel-Monitors Energiewende kontinuierlich verfolgt werden.
