Ungenutzte Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten für Berufsrückkehrerinnen

Abstract

Viele Frauen unterbrechen im Laufe ihres Lebens ein- oder mehrmals die Erwerbstätigkeit, um Kinder zu betreuen. Oft läßt sich die Übernahme familiärer Aufgaben - jedenfalls zeitweise - nicht mit der Ausübung einer Erwerbstätigkeit vereinbaren. Mit dem Heranwachsen der Kinder werden dann die Spielräume für Mütter wieder größer, einer Erwerbstätigkeit nachzugehen. Diese Frauen bilden den größten Teil der Stillen Reserve des Arbeitsmarktes. Rund 2 Mill. Frauen planen ihre Rückkehr auf den Arbeitsmarkt innerhalb der nächsten 5 Jahre. Sie sind überwiegend gut ausgebildet. Ihre Schwierigkeiten bei der Suche nach einem geeigneten Arbeitsplatz sind nicht zuletzt dadurch begründet, daß die Arbeitgeber bestimmte Nachteile in der Berufsunterbrechung sehen. Hinzu kommt, daß Berufsrückkehrerinnen zumeist eine Teilzeitbeschäftigung anstreben. Angesichts der bestehenden Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten insbesondere im Dienstleistungsbereich kommt es darauf an, Berufsrückkehrerinnen als Zielgruppe betrieblicher Personalpolitik stärker als bisher wahrzunehmen und zu berücksichtigen.
