La Cuarta Revolución Industrial: Un Enfoque Explicativo desde el Mercado Laboral para el Sector Textil y Financiero en Medellín

Abstract

En este trabajo se indagó sobre las repercusiones que puede tener el desarrollo tecnológico en el mercado laboral en Medellín, analizando el comportamiento de las vacantes, el desempleo y los salarios en el sector textil y financiero. Para ello, se utilizaron datos de la Gran Encuesta Integrada de Hogares (GEIH) y la Encuesta Anual Manufacturera (EAM) proporcionados por el Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística (DANE) para el periodo 2007-2019. Los resultados divergen según el sector y la variable de estudio, posiblemente por las fluctuaciones naturales del mercado labora o eventos transitorios de estos oficios en periodos determinados. Además, los resultados demuestran que el proceso de automatización en la ciudad aún no alcanza un nivel suficiente para reflejar efectos claros.
