Evaluación de la sostenibilidad de los sistemas de producción de café en fincas-hogar del sector San José, municipio de Linares-Narino

Abstract

El propósito de este artículo es evaluar si los sistemas de agro café en el sector San José del corregimiento San Francisco son sostenibles, considerando que la productividad se sitúa en fincas-hogar donde la sostenibilidad está asociada a su desarrollo social, económico, político, cultural y ambiental. La evaluación se realiza a través del método Principio-Criterio Indicador PCI ponderado y cualificado con la misma comunidad desde un enfoque rural participativo. Como expresa el Foro Social Mundial frente al Foro Económico2 con la posición “de otro desarrollo (sostenible) es posible”, se puede comprender que éste debe medirse desde otras perspectivas donde la productividad económica retorne desde lo rural, lo social, lo ambiental. A partir de ahí, el presente evalúa la sostenibilidad con criterios e indicadores resultado de un proceso participativo, y aunque estos no alcanzan a dominar las condiciones externas que en cierto modo afectan los agro-eco-sistemas de café, sí favorecen el sostenimiento de las fincas-hogar.
