Abstract

The objective of this article is to carry out an approach from a systematic review of the literature and about the determinants of economic growth from a Kaldorian virtuous cycle approach focused on the founder countries of the Pacific Alliance and the Association of Southeast Asia Nations through databases such as Web of Science and Scopus. Two knowledge gaps have been identified. The first corresponds to the lack of studies that comparatively analyze the Kaldorian determinants of virtuous economic growth; the second is the shortage of publications related to the identification of convergence/divergence between countries and trade blocs, which no other paper has yet studied. As a complementary section, the exploratory cluster analysis revealed that the clusters of countries formed from 1990 to 2018 had been maintained.
