Dimensiones relevantes para Colombia de las instituciones multilaterales políticas y su reforma

Abstract

Este documento contiene un breve análisis de la crisis por la que atraviesan los organismos políticos multilaterales a nivel global, en el hemisferio y a nivel subregional. Analiza además la participación de Colombia en la construcción del multilateralismo y la presencia e injerencia de éste en algunos aspectos vitales del país. Concluye que a nivel hemisférico, la oea sigue representando un Organismo invaluable como foro de concertación política y vehículo para la cooperación; mientras que a nivel global, la onu es el escenario mul- tilateral donde los Estados tienen un espacio privilegiado para exponer sus posiciones y defender sus intereses frente a la comunidad internacional. Finalmente, recomienda que Colombia potencie su participación en los organismos multilaterales, buscando una mayor y mejor coordinación con y entre las agencias y mecanismos instalados en el país. Asimismo, afirma la necesidad de Colombia de lograr una mejor coordinación entre lo bilateral y lo multilateral.
