Abstract

Resumen: En este artículo buscamos responder a los diferentes argumentos contrarios a la historia del pensamiento económico, como área de investigación y de enseñanza, para mostrar la vigencia y relevancia del área en la formación de los futuros economistas. En momentos en que la Economía es cuestionada por su incapacidad de ofrecer soluciones y por su fascinación con la medición y la técnica, nos parece pertinente rescatar la historia del pensamiento económico como campo de reflexión, de crítica y de introspección. Así, los nuevos economistas entenderán que la Economía es un proceso y no un producto y podrán participar activamente en el presente extendido de su disciplina.
