¿Cómo se busca y cómo se encuentra empleo en las principales áreas metropolitanas de Colombia? Un recuento para los segundos trimestres de 2009 y 2010

Abstract

Resumen: Con información de la GEIH del DANE, para los segundos trimestres de 2009 y 2010, se encuentra que los ocupados y desempleados de las trece principales áreas metropolitanas de Colombia, que buscaron y buscan empleo por los canales informales y formales de búsqueda, suelen presentar mayores probabilidades de salir del desempleo que quienes buscan por canales informales moderados, entre los que se cuentan, la posibilidad de instalar un negocio. Del análisis paramétrico de la duración del desempleo, se puede deducir que con el tiempo, la referencias familiares o de amigos para conseguir empleo se vuelven obsoletas mientras toman fuerza las alternativas de búsqueda
