Economía Internacional: Un Curso Insuficiente Para Entender El Comercio Internacional

Abstract

El presente artículo pretende hacer un llamado acerca de la estructura general de los cursos de economía internacional I de pregrado (teoría y política del comercio internacional) por cuanto la visión económica neoclásica tradicional limita las explicaciones acerca de las causas y consecuencias del comercio sobre los agentes racionales y deja de lado -entre otros aspectos- las motivaciones políticas de los países y los efectos sobre el medio ambiente. Ello se explica por lavisión disciplinar del intercambio, que si bien es suficiente para entender el aumento del comercio internacional o las especializaciones por dotación de factores, resulta insuficiente para discernir por qué las negociaciones aún son disímiles o por qué los beneficios de la especialización no convergen.
