Compromiso social y su impacto en el voluntariado empresarial. Una aproximación desde las variables de género y edad

Abstract

El objetivo del presente artículo es hacer una aproximación al compromiso social (filantrópico, integrado y participativo), desde las variables de género y edad, para demostrar si estadísticamente existen diferencias significativas entre hombres y mujeres, jóvenes y adultos, en un grupo de trabajadores mexicanos. El estudio se realizó a partir de una metodología cuantitativa, aplicando un instrumento de tres ítems a una muestra de 440 colaboradores provenientes de 12 empresas del noreste de México, cuyas respuestas se examinaron por medio de un análisis de varianza. Como conclusión, el estudio confirma 6 de las 12 hipótesis planteadas; esto demuestra que, con base en la variable género, la mujer presenta mayor compromiso social que el hombre, tanto filantrópico como integrado, sin importar la edad. Sin embargo, en cuanto a la variable edad, en el caso de la mujer adulta, su compromiso social es igual al de la mujer joven, mientras que el del hombre adulto, resulta ser mayor que el del hombre joven
