Los roles de los centros corporativos en empresas multinegocios colombianas

Abstract

Las empresas multinegocios se administran desde centros corporativos para generar nuevo valor y disminuir costos. Es probable que la escasez de información en la literatura académica sobre el funcionamiento de los centros corporativos se deba a la dificultad de acceso a las empresas. Por tanto, en este texto se propone un marco de análisis sobre roles corporativos que integra la literatura académica y de consultores. Este marco se contrastó con los resultados de una investigación cualitativa en 21 empresas multinegocios colombianas y se orientó por la pregunta ¿cuáles son los roles desempenados por los centros corporativos de una empresa multinegocios? Los hallazgos complementan la literatura sobre los roles de los centros corporativos, pues integra las funciones, el tipo de control y el grado de autonomía y cuestiona la tipología presentada.
