Influencia de la capacidad de absorción sobre la innovación: un análisis empírico en las mipymes colombianas

Abstract

Este artículo analiza la capacidad de absorción como un constructo multidimensional y tiene como objetivo determinar la presencia de dicha capacidad en las mipymes colombianas y su relación con lainnovación, siendo este uno de los primeros estudios en este campo realizados en Colombia. Partiendo deuna muestra de 403 mipymes colombianas, se efectúa un análisis de conglomerados bietápico que per-mite probar que la capacidad de absorción no es un determinante de la innovación en estas empresas, y permite demostrar que la capacidad de absorción se desarrolla principalmente en las pequenas empresas colombianas y los procesos de innovación están determinados por las estrategias competitivas asumidaspor cada tipo de empresas.
