La Formación a Distancia: Estrategia de Desarrollo Regional

Abstract

La relación entre el desarrollo y la educación ha sido evaluada por diferentes estudios y desde diversas perspectivas. El decisivo papel de la educación en el desarrollo local es inobjetable. Esta ponencia forma parte de un estudio que se inició este año en los municipios de Burgos, Jaumave y González, donde la Universidad Politécnica de Victoria (UPV) tiene presencia en educación a distancia. Se parte de la problemática de evidenciar la importancia de esta modalidad de educación como una estrategia de desarrollo regional en el estado de Tamaulipas. Incursionando en un tipo de investigación descriptiva buscando respuestas en diferentes sectores, estudiantes de la UPV, profesores que participan impartiendo cátedra a distancia, actores económicos en los tres municipios involucrados. Realizando análisis de diversos indicadores de desarrollo e índices de inscripción y deserción en las dos carreras ofrecidas por la UPV en esta modalidad que representan los resultados obtenidos hasta este momento.
