Rapid Introduction of a Uniform Pension Value in East and West – Proposal for a "Pension Reconciliation Act"

Author

Listed:
  • Eckart Bomsdorf

Abstract

Eckart Bomsdorf, University of Cologne, outlines a model that provides a more rapid adaptation of the pension value in the eastern Germany to that applicable in the west than can be expected under the current rules, and which, at the same time, would replace the conversion value so that a complete alignment in the pension systems could be achieved.
