Branch Spotlight: Developments and Outlook for Meat Production in Germany

Abstract

Meat production has settled at around 60kg per capita in Germany in recent years. Today nobody really expects any return to an age of mass meat consumption. Consumers in the 21st century tend to demand quality, not quantity.
