Wohnungsneubau in Europa: Nach kurzer Erholung erneut leichter Rückgang

Abstract

Die Wohnungsbautätigkeit in Europa durchläuft seit einigen Jahren eine unge-wöhnlich hartnäckige Schwächephase. Zwar ist bereits 2003 und 2004 eine leichte Erholung eingetreten - die Zahl der fertiggestellten Wohnungen in neu errichteten Wohngebäuden dürfte 2004 in den 15 westeuropäischen und 4 mittelosteuropäischen Ländern, die in der Euroconstruct-Gruppe zusammenarbeiten, auf über 2,2 Mill. Wohneinheiten ansteigen (fast + 8% gegenüber 2001) -, aber bereits für 2005 wird im Eigenheimbau ein so starker Rückgang der Fertigstellungszahlen prognostiziert, dass der nochmalige leichte Anstieg im Geschosswohnungsbau zur Kompensation nicht ganz ausreicht. Im Ausblick auf 2006 wird für beide Gebäudekategorien lediglich von Stagnation auf niedrigeren Niveaus ausgegangen.
