Kreditklima leicht verbessert

Nachdem das ifo Institut bereits im Juni und August letzten Jahres die Teilnehmer des Konjunkturtests zur Bereitschaft der Banken, Kredite zu vergeben, befragt hatte, wurde diese Sonderfrage erneut im März dieses Jahres gestellt. Wie die neuen Umfrageergebnisse zeigen, scheinen die Banken bei ihrer Kreditvergabe etwas weniger restriktiv zu sein als noch im Sommer 2003. Das Kreditklima hat sich im März 2004 gegenüber August 2003 auf sehr niedrigem Niveau leicht verbessert, wobei die Verbesserung in Westdeutschland stärker ausfiel als in Ostdeutschland. Eine Ursache für die leichte Aufhellung liegt sicher in der einsetzenden konjunkturellen Erholung, daneben scheinen die Banken aber auch unabhängig von der wirtschaftlichen Situation und der Größe ihrer Kunden ihre Bereitschaft, Kredite zu vergeben, erhöht zu haben.
