Abstract

According to the latest results of the Ifo Business Survey in Leasing, the business climate has deteriorated further. The downward trend in the assessments of the current situation continued. For the first time, the negative responses predominated. However, the expectations indicate improvement by spring 2003. On balance, the participating enterprises judged their business outlook about as optimistically as in the previous month. The confidence indicator is now above the previous-year level.
