Neue Bundesländer : weiterer Anstieg der Industrieinvestitionen

Abstract

Der Bericht faßt die Ergebnisse des ifo Investitionstests Ost 1993/1994 mit insgesamt 1.400 Unternehmen aus den neuen Bundesländern zusammen. Die industrielle Investitionstätigkeit hat sich demnach in den Jahren 1991 bis 1993 wesentlich günstiger entwickelt als in den alten Bundesländern. Auf einen Anstieg von 40 % im Jahr 1992 folgte ein Zuwachs der Investitionen um 5 % auf knapp 19 Mrd. DM im Jahr 1993. Ursprünglich waren für 1993 20 Mrd. DM geplant, im Vergleich zu dem massiven Investitionseinbruch in den alten Ländern blieb die Investitonsbereitschaft der ostdeutschen Industrie hoch. Im laufenden Jahr 1994 ist eine nochmalige Steigerung um etwa 4 % abzusehen. Die Anteile verschieben sich dabei zu Ungunsten der von den westdeutschen Industrieunternehmen übernommenen Firmen. Deutlich mehr als im Vorjahr wollen die Tochtergesellschaften ausländischer Unternehmen und auch die juristischen und wirtschaftlich eigenständigen ostdeutschen Betriebe investieren.
