Die Dauer der Einschränkungen des öffentlichen Lebens und die Normalisierung der Geschäftslage: Was erwarten die Unternehmen?

Abstract

Im Rahmen der ifo Konjunkturumfragen werden die Unternehmen seit April gefragt, wie lange sie mit einer Einschränkung des öffentlichen Lebens rechnen. Seit Mai wird auch erfasst, ab wann die Unternehmen mit einer Normalisierung ihrer Geschäftslage rechnen. Der vorliegende Artikel fasst die Ergebnisse vor dem Hintergrund der verschiedenen politischen Beschlüsse zusammen. Gemäß den aktuellsten Ergebnissen von Januar 2021 lag die durchschnittliche Erwartung bei 7,4 Monaten. Es wird also frühestens ab September mit einer weitgehenden Normalisierung gerechnet. Mit Blick auf die eigene Geschäftslage erwarten die Unternehmen erst zum Ende dieses Jahres eine Normalisierung.
