Zur Angleichung der Rentenwerte in Ost- und Westdeutschland

Abstract

Nachdem die Bundeskanzlerin Mitte dieses Jahres eine Angleichung der Rentenwerte in Ost- und Westdeutschland angeregt hat, greifen zurzeit vor allem Politiker aus Ostdeutschland diesen Vorschlag im Rahmen einer Altersarmutsdebatte auf. Zur Angleichung der Ost-Renten werden im politischen Raum verschiedene Varianten diskutiert. Nach der Darstellung der Sachlage sollen in diesem Beitrag die beiden Varianten einer Rentenwertanhebung im Osten analysiert und eingeordnet werden, bevor abschließend eine knappe Darstellung des Vorschlags des Sachverständigenrates erfolgt.
