Abstract

The manifestation of contradictory and very complex trends in people's health, determined by the process of transition from modern civilization to post-modern civilization, places health in an important place on the scale of social values, which determines the standard of living and shows the quality of life. Health is a particularly valuable good, not only at the level of the individual, but also of human collectivities, and the defense and promotion of health has exceeded individual interest and constitutes a problem of great importance for any human community. The research starts from a series of hypotheses to be analyzed: Will the current mode of economic development allow the achievement of a better state of health of the population? Can we have a healthy life and achieve prosperity with the current mode of economic development? How can we prepare for a wave of innovations and be competitive, with better health and a better life, in the context of economic development increasingly connected to sustainability?
