Der EG-Richtlinienentwurf über Einlagensicherungssysteme: Chancen zur Verbesserung der deutschen Einlagensicherung?

Abstract

Als einer der letzten Bereiche des EG-Bankenrechts soll jetzt die Einlagensicherung durch eine EG-Richtlinie harmonisiert werden. Das wird zum Anlaß genommen, die deutsche Einlagensicherung darzustellen und zusammen mit dem EG-Richtlinienentwurf an den Kriterien einer effektiven, anreizkompatiblen und binnenmarktkonformen Einlagensicherung zu messen. Der Richtlinienentwurf sollte als Chance gesehen werden, die deutsche Einlagensicherung zu verbessern, was den europäischen Einlegern und der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der deutschen Banken zugute käme.
