Medikal Turizmin Türkiye’deki Gelişimi Üzerine Nitel Bir Araştırma

Abstract

Bu çalışmada sağlık turizminin, turizm sektörü ve ülke ekonomilerindeki yeri incelenmiştir. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı medikal turizmin Türkiye’deki mevcut durumunu analiz etmektir. Bu doğrultuda sağlık turistleri ve sağlık sektöründe çalışan profesyoneller ile çift yönlü derinlemesine görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Görüşmelerden elde edilen veriler tematik içerik analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Yapılan araştırma sonucunda medikal turizm alanında ülkemizin güçlü ve zayıf yönleri ortaya konulmuştur. Bu çalışmanın önemi, konuyu sadece sağlık turistleri ya da sağlık çalışanları açısından tek yönlü bir bakış açısı ile sunmak yerine, hepsini kapsayıcı bir perspektiften ele almaya çalışmasıdır. Elde edilen bulgular ile sağlık sektöründe çok büyük potansiyeli bulunan ülkemizin mevcut durumu analiz edilmiş ve böylece Türkiye’de medikal turizmin gelişmesine katkı sağlayacak öneriler sunulmuştur.
