Yaşlı Bakımı Programı Öğrencilerinin Kariyer Seçimlerinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Kariyer tercihleri insanların hayatının hemen hemen bütün alanlarını doğrudan etkileyen önemli bir aşamadır. Kariyer tercihi, kişilerin hayatının büyük bir çoğunluğunu etkileyen ve belkide en erken aldığı karardan biridir. Kariyer kavramının günlük yaşamda sıklıkla iş ve meslek kavramları ile aynı anlamda kullanılmaktadır. Kişisel tercihlerden daha çok sosyal çevre ve yaşam tercihi gibi faktörler tercihlerde etkili olmaktadır. Kariyer tercihlerinizin hayatınızın her alanında büyük bir etkisi vardır. Bu nedenle bireyler kariyer tercihlerine ciddi önem vermeleri gerekmektedir.Yanlış yapılan tercihler kişilerin mutsuz olmasına ve iş hayatlarında başarısız olmalarına neden olabilirken aksi durumlar ise kişinin mutlu ve başarılı olmasını sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışma, Anadolu Üniversitesi ve Osmangazi Üniversitesi’nde Yaşlı bakımı programlarında okuyan 197 öğrencinin kariyer eğilimlerini belirlemek amacıyla tanımlayıcı araştırma türü ile tasarlanmıştır. Veriler anket tekniği ile toplanmış SPSS programı ile veriler analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda katılımcıların, yaşlı bakım teknikerliğini yapmak istemedikleri, çoğunluğun hemşirelik lisans programına geçiş yapmak istedikleri, cinsiyet ile lisans eğitimine devam etme ve cinsiyet ile mesleği yapma değişkenleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmamıştır.
