Muhasebe Meslek Mensuplarının TMS ve TFRS’YE Bakış Açıları ve Algıları Üzerine Osmaniye İlinde Yapılan Bir Çalışma

Abstract

Ülkelerin farklı ekonomik, politik, sosyal ve kültürel çevre şartları nedeniyle yıllarca farklı ülkelerdeki işletmeler farklı muhasebe uygulamalarıyla karşı karşıya kalmış, muhasebe uygulamalarına yön veren düzenlemeler ülkelerin meslek örgütleri tarafından karşılanmıştır. Ancak uluslararası ticaretin ve çok uluslu şirketlerin sayılarının artması nedeniyle ülkelerdeki muhasebe sistemlerinin standardizasyonu ihtiyacı doğmuş ve evrensel bir muhasebe dili arayışı nedeniyle 1973 yılında IASC kurulmuştur. Türkiye’de şirketlerin halka açılması, hisse senetlerinin dünya borsalarında işlem görmesi ve uluslararası ticari ilişkilerin önemli boyutlara ulaşması, IAS’e uygun mali raporların kullanılmasını ön plana çıkartmıştır. Bu nedenle, ülkemizdeki muhasebe standartlarının UFRS ile uyumunun sağlanması kaçınılmaz hale gelmiştir. Türkiye bu yola girmiş olup uygulamanın başarılı olması için meslek mensuplarının TMS ve TFRS konusundaki farkındalıkları büyük öneme sahiptir. Osmaniye ilinde faaliyet gösteren SM ve SMMM’lerin standartlara bakış açılarının araştırıldığı bu çalışmada elde edilen sonuçlar meslek mensuplarının Türkiye’deki tüm işletmelerin TMS ve TFRS uygulamalarına geçmesi için gerekli şartların yeterli olgunluğa erişmediği, tam olarak uygulamaya konmasıyla denetimin kolaylaşacağı ve finansal tabloları okumanın ve anlamanın daha kolay olacağı algılanmaktadır.
