ÇKE’nin 25 OECD Ülkesinde Panel Veri Analizi İle Test Edilmesi: 1990-2014 Yılları

Abstract

Bu çalışmada gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerin hedefledikleri daha fazla büyüme isteklerinin çevresel etkisi araştırılmıştır. Araştırmada gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan 25 Ekonomik Kalkınma ve İşbirliği Örgütü (OECD) ülkesi (Almanya, Avusturya, Avusturalya, A.B.D., Belçika, Fransa, İspanya, İtalya, İzlanda, Birleşik Krallık, İsveç, İsviçre, Polonya, Portekiz, Türkiye, Yunanistan, Yeni Zelanda, Japonya, Norveç, Kanada, Finlandiya, Hollanda, İrlanda, Lüksemburg ve Danimarka) baz alınmıştır. Ülkelerin ortak olarak bulunan verilerinden 1990-2014 yılları arasındaki 25 yıllık veri seti ele alınmıştır. Bağımlı değişken olarak Gayri Safi Yurtiçi Hasıla (GSYH), bağımsız değişkenler olarak ise karbon monoksit (CO), nitrik asit (NO) ve birincil enerji arzı kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada panel veri yöntemi kullanılmış olup, çalışmadaki ülkelerde ve yıllarda Çevresel Kuznets Eğrisi (ÇKE) yaklaşımının geçerli olup olmadığı ayrıca enerji tüketimi ile çevresel bozulma arasında ilişki olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. Yapılan testler sonucunda söz konusu ülkelerde ÇKE yaklaşımının geçerli olduğu görülmüştür.
