Serbest Zaman Aktivitesi Olarak Doğa Yürüyüşüne Gençlerin Katılım Kısıtlarının Belirlenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, üniversite öğrencilerinin serbest zaman aktivitelerine katılımlarına engel teşkil edebilecek unsurların belirlenmesidir. Serbest zaman aktivitesi olarak basit ve bilinir olması sebebiyle doğa yürüyüşü seçilmiştir. Bu amaçla Nyaupane tarafından geliştirilen “Serbest Zaman Kısıtları Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Çalışmaya Akdeniz Üniversitesi, Manavgat Meslek Yüksekokulu’nda öğretim döneminde öğrenim gören toplam 479 üniversite öğrencisi gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Gençlerin doğa yürüyüşüne katılma kısıtları arasında en fazla etkili olanlar sırasıyla; ‘Hizmeti veren şirket hakkında bilgim yok’, ‘Yeterli boş zamana sahip değilim’, ‘Ailem ve arkadaşlarımın katılacaklarını sanmıyorum’, ‘Seyahat ve konaklama giderleri çok yüksek’, ‘Doğa yürüyüşü çok fazla fiziksel güç gerektiriyor’ ifadeleri olmuştur. Kısıtlar arasında en az etkili olanlar ise; ‘Doğa yürüyüşü yüksek derecede risk taşıyor’, ‘Bu faaliyeti sevmem’, ‘Ailevi sorumluluklarım katılmamı engelliyor’ ifadeleridir. Cinsiyet değişkeninin gençlerin doğa yürüyüşü aktivitesine katılım kısıtları üzerinde etkili olmadığı, gençlerin ekonomik farklılıklarının katılım kısıtlarını etkilediği görülmüştür.
