NATO’nun Güvenlik Algılaması ve Türkiye Tartışmaları

Abstract

Güvenlik dünya üzerinde yaşayan tüm devletler ve toplumlar için önemi artan bir unsur olarak görülmektedir. Uluslararası örgütler ve devletlerin ortaya çıkan yeni tehditlerle mücadele edebilmesinin ancak aralarında yapacakları güçlü bir işbirliği sayesinde mümkün olabileceği anlaşılmaktadır. NATO gibi güvenlik örgütünün hem bölgesinin hem de küresel güvenliği sağlamasında geliştireceği güvenlik politikalarının ve stratejilerinin önemi büyüktür. Bu bağlamda NATO’nun jeopolitik önemi ve eski bir üyesi olma nedeniyle Türkiye ile yakın işbirliği içinde olması İttifak’ın amaçlarına ulaşmasına yardımcı olacağı değerlendirilmektedir. Aksi takdirde NATO’nun yeni tehditlerle mücadelede başarılı olması zordur. Bu kapsamda NATO’nun görev alanlarını yeniden gözden geçirmeye çalıştığı görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada, NATO’nun güvenlik politikaları ve stratejileri ve Türkiye ile olan ilişkilerinde ortaya çıkan görüş farklılıkları konuları ele alınmaktadır. Aynı zamanda son dönemde NATO’nun yeniden sorgulanması analiz edilmektedir. Gelinen noktada NATO’nun küresel güvenliğin sağlanmasında gelecektede rolünü devam ettireceği anlaşılmaktadır.
