İşletmelerde İç Kontrol Sisteminin Etkinliğinin Sağlanması: Mermer Sektöründe Bir İşletme Uygulaması

Abstract

İşletmelerin faaliyet hacimlerinin genişlemesi, iş süreçlerinin artması ve karmaşıklaşması nedeniyle, işletme yönetiminin bu faaliyet ve süreçleri doğrudan doğruya kontrol etme yeteneği zayıflamaktadır. İşletme yönetimi açısından, meydana gelen bu olumsuzluk, ancak güçlü bir iç kontrol sistemi kurularak ve etkinliği sağlanarak giderilebilir. Bir işletmede varlıkların korunması, yolsuzlukların önlenmesi, kayıtların doğruluğunun sağlanması ve faaliyetlerin etkin bir şekilde yürütülmesi amaçlarına yönelik oluşturulan tüm politika ve uygulamalar o işletmenin iç kontrol sistemini oluşturur. İç kontrol sisteminin kurulması ve etkinliğinin sağlanması işletme yönetiminin sorumluluğundadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, iç kontrolü oluşturan unsurları incelemek ve iç kontrol sisteminin etkinliğinin sağlanmasının işletmeler açısından önemini vurgulamaktır. Çalışmanın uygulama bölümünde, mermer sektöründe faaliyet gösteren bir işletmedeki iç kontrol yapısı incelenmiş, sistemin güçlü ve zayıf yönleri belirlenerek sistemin etkinliğinin artırılmasına yönelik öneriler sunulmuştur. Uygulama örnek olay incelemesi niteliğinde olup, konuyla ilgili olarak seçilen işletmede gözlem, belgeleme, personelle görüşme suretiyle veriler toplanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerden ulaşılan sonuçlar ve sunulan önerilerin incelenen işletmeyle sınırlı olduğu göz önünde bulundurulmalıdır.
