Muhasebe Eğitimine Bakış Açılarının Öğrenci Perspektifnden Değerlendirilmesi: Kocaeli Üniversitesi'ne Bağlı 5 Meslek Yüksekokulunda Bir Uygulama

Abstract

Daha geniş bir öğrenci grubuna eğitim verilmesi, ders içeriklerinin oluşan yeni bilgi alanlarının tümünü kapsayacak şekilde sürekli güncellenmesi yanında uygulamaya da ağırlık verilmesi üniversite eğitiminden temel beklentilerdir. Meslek Yüksekokulları ise, ülkenin sosyo ekonomik ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak, sektörlere ara (aranan) eleman yetiştirmek amacıyla kurulan yüksek öğretim kurumlarıdır. İş dünyasının mesleki eğitimden beklentileri olmasının yanında Meslek Yüksekokullarında okuyan öğrencilerin de mesleki eğitimden beklentileri vardır. Ülkelerin kalkınmasında önemli misyon üstelenen MYO’larda muhasebe eğitiminin öğrenci persfektifinden incelenmesi ihtiyacı, bu araştırmanın temelini oluşturmaktadır. Öğrencilerin bu konuda ki farkındalıklarını arttırmak için nasıl bir yapılanmanın gerektiğine vurgu yapan bu çalışmanın literatüre önemli bir kaynak oluşturacağı düşünülmektedir. Çalışmada, Türkiye’de Meslek Yüksekokullarının genel durumu ve sorunları ele alınmış, Kocaeli Üniversitesine bağlı MYO’larda Muhasebe Programlarında okuyan öğrencilerin programlarını seçme nedenleri ortaya konulmuş, aldıkları muhasebe eğitiminin gelecekle ilgili hedeflerine yönelik uyumluluğu tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda MYO’larda bulunan öğrenciler çalışmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Toplanan veriler betimsel istatistikler ve nicel veri analiz yöntemleriyle analiz edilmiştir.
